Embroidered Sachets and more cards.

Gotta love that Coffee. Just finished putting the sachets together this morning. Had to finish the Embroidery on one and then put them all together. The cards I do when the whim hits me. On the right is my dough bowl of my favorite buttons, and on the left is my bitty collection of sea glass and crystals.

Bright Sunny Day Today

This is great, two BEAUTIFUL weather days in a row. Mid 60's and sunny. And its NOV!!

Thrift Store Finds. What to do with the Hearts??

Got all these things this morning at the Thrift. The door basket is nice, going to hang that on a door. Go figure. The little jewel bear will look pretty with a little tea light behind him. The little tin with the handle was just too cute. The nice book. Then there was this big bag of HEARTS, all hand made. so I thought I could do something with them. WHAT? I need some ideas from you creative girls out there.

Scrap booking WIN from E'bay

This is the second time I have won an E'BAY bid for old paper stuff to scrap book with. or what ever you can make with old papers. Its really fun to look over all the stuff. The old Valentine is pretty nice, and my Grand daughter will love the baseball cards.

Fill up a large Pretty Container with Smell Good Stuff

This is my smell good container in the living room. I refresh it with scent often. The crackle glass in the middle I put a votive candle in which makes a real pretty light because of the prisoms in the glass.

Good Basket Idea

The kitchen towels were taking up to much room in my kitchen drawer, which I needed for other things. So I moved them all to this basket. So at least for today this is where to find them when you stop over.

Do you keep your books?

I have lots and lots of books, I took a big bag to the library a few weeks ago. I only keep the ones I really like. BUT- I can see where this can get out of hand. I don't live on an estate in England with an in home Library.
Lots of Sun this morning, cloudy and rainy now, might get a bit of snow tonight in the area.

My friend Paula said she was getting bored with the last picture and it was time to post another picture. She is a real- WELL YOU KNOW. HA. Hi Paula.
Anyway, got these from Amazon used. I'm reading "Merry Hall" and just love it. The 'TRAMPING OUT THE VINTAGE", is The civil War Diaries and letters of Eugene Kinman. Thought that sounded interesting. Who doesn't like to read other people's diaries?
The Big House sounds good. A century in the life of a summer home. Soooo I have some reading to do.

Making Some Cards.

Well I got that nice box of paper stuff so thought I should make some cards. Fun to do. Figure after a year or two I should be pretty good at it.

Scrap Books and Good Stuff from E'BAY

This is a box of really fun stuff I won on E'Bay, I haven't had a chance to go over everything, there is so much stuff,two full scrap books, old letters, stamps, postcards, newspaper clippings, pictures, etc. My winning bid was $5.00.Sooo this will be fun to look over.

New Place for the Wooden Spoons.

Well I re did the kitchen counter again today. Added a little Christmas. Good place for the wooden spoons. See the little picture up on the left, I got that at the thrift last week. Its handmade. Why would someone want to part with that I wonder? Now I won't put anything else out that looks like Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I think.

Just too Pretty This Time of Year

Bright and sunny here today, the leaves are really doing their thing, just too pretty.

Little Oil Lamp

The other day when I got the Black Kitty, I also got this little oil lamp. I put Red oil in it so it would match all the cranberry glass on the fireplace. I have several of the little lamps, I wonder what they were used for? Because I know some of them are pretty old. Sure couldn't use them to see going down a flight of stairs at night or it might be the last time you go down a flight of stairs.

Old Sewing Rocker

Had this for awhile, I think I got this from a garage sale. That little wire chair is a pin cushion.
Been raining here all day. The leaves all turing fast now, I have found some really pretty ones to press. Lots more to come. We are usually raking until mid Novemeber.Sometimes you can build a snowman while raking. I have new boots, so its OK.

Went To The Thrift

Well its such a nice day and you know when winter comes I won't be doing this as much, I think! Lets keep in mind that I just sent out four boxes and several bags to friends and charity. Has to be a balance here.Or something.
Cute Tin pictures. going to put the two in my laundry room. Nice candles, already burning the bigger one. Black candle holder, found a good place for that. Just the little picture to find a home for.

Black Kitty From an Antique Store

Isn't she cute? She is going to sit on the Floor by the fireplace. Couldn't get a good picture of her on the floor so she had to sit up top for a minute. Seemed OK with it.

Littlle Christmas Tree from the Thrift

I was looking for Fall stuff and this is what I got. Well it was just to cute and so well made I bought it. Cost me all of two dollars. First time I have been to the thrift since I got that clock a few posts back. I also got a copper jello mold. Its in the dishwasher right now.

Laundry room area

I would have taken a picture of the washer and dryer, but that didn't seem like it would be to interesting. You can see part of my Ironing board on the right through. That's pretty exciting. I keep a lot of different stuff in those cabinets as you can see. That's Richard's Grandma's old porch rocker.

Mildred the pin keep

I got her at the thrift last year and thought her little basket would make a perect pin keep. She sits near my sewing machine. She is all china, I haven't broke her yet.

German Choc. Pudding cake. I think

This started off as just a box mix German Choc cake, but I decided to poke holes in it and add choc pudding. So now I have pudding all over the cake where the coconut pecan frosting is supposed to be. So I put some of the frosting in the micro and melted it a bit and then dribbled it over the pudding. Its a wonder the cake came up on the pan so nice, I eat half the batter. I'll let you know how it is.
