What a fun gift this is. And for My Birthday. Thank you Mary Beth. The cute musulin Rag doll, a nice old postcard, a little purse and a pretty tin. There was also in the box but not pictured, two cups that I collect and a little bell and cookbook. Mary Beth has sent me the nicest collection of old postcards over the last few years. Well this was a real nice treat.

19I5 Edition of Little Women
Ordered this used on Amazon. Thought I would re-read it. I don't think I have read the book since I was, well, a long time ago. I think I mostly remember the movies. Usually a lot more going on in the book version. And I like old books.

lOVE THESE MAGAZINES
A bit on the pricy side, well alot on the pricy side but so much to look at and learn. These I bought new, but since I like them so much I ordered a few back issues at a much lower rate. They should be here in a few days. I have about wore these out looking at them.
The Paper Bag.
Now That I have made one I want to make more. Can someone tell me how to paper dye those hang tags? I have one that has been soaking in coffee and vanilla all night and it doesn't look much different.

Paper Bag Craft was Fun.
Just a few things I made. The paper bag I sewed on the machine to make the pocket. Forgot all about sewing on paper, I bet if I think about it there are a lot of paper ideas to sew.The snow picture in the middle I really liked. But the more I look at it I think they are in a cemetery. Not exactly the most cheerful thing for this time of year. But it is a pretty picture.

A scrapbook of Inspiration
That is the name of Karen's site. I got all these things from her. Wish you could see the insides of the things in front on the framed piece. She is very creative. So you do get inspired when you visit her site. To bad I don't know how to do the link thing. Maybe she will leave a comment here then you can go visit her. I framed the 2010 calender she made. The picture on the front of the piece on the left is "ORCHARD HOUSE". The home of Louisa M Alcott. Author of Little Women.

Good Day For A Book
Dark and rain here all day. Right now I'm reading Louisa May Alcott. The woman behind Little Women by Harriet Reisen. By the looks of the pile of books on my night stand it could keep raining for a whole long time.

A Fun Win From E'BAY
I think this is the most and best bunch of paper stuff, etc. that I have won on e'bay. This girl sent me soooo much stuff. So much that doesn't show up in the picture. Now for the fun part, sorting it all. Even that can on the right is full of stuff.
Pinecones and Ribbon
I don't have to many Christmas things out yet, trying real hard to wait until after Thanksgiving. Not working out all that well.
Anyway, pretty simple decoration. Glue pine cones with bells on the ends of differnt lenghts of ribbon.

Box Of Recipes From E'BAY.
All of these recipes came in the mail today. Been sorting them to put in my Susan Branch Book. There are so many! lots are hand written, lots of cut out ones. Two little note books all filled. Soo been reading them for the last couple of hours. I put aside a lot of them to try. If I like them they will go in my cookbook. They seem to be from some place in Florida, from the 40's to the 60's.
I have one more win of paper stuff coming from E'bay then I'm going to pretend e'Bay fell off the earth.

An Old Sadd Iron
Is that how you spell it? Anyways its an old Iron. I have three of them. This one someone painted up real pretty. Its great for holding cookbooks open when you are cooking. I also use them for my paper craft stuff, you know as a weight to press things flat. Two of them came from family, I must have picked up this one at a garage sale.

The little tin with the handle was just too cute. The nice book. Then there was this big bag of HEARTS, all hand made. so I thought I could do something with them. WHAT? I need some ideas from you creative girls out there.

Fill up a large Pretty Container with Smell Good Stuff
This is my smell good container in the living room. I refresh it with scent often. The crackle glass in the middle I put a votive candle in which makes a real pretty light because of the prisoms in the glass.

Good Basket Idea
The kitchen towels were taking up to much room in my kitchen drawer, which I needed for other things. So I moved them all to this basket. So at least for today this is where to find them when you stop over.
Do you keep your books?
I have lots and lots of books, I took a big bag to the library a few weeks ago. I only keep the ones I really like. BUT- I can see where this can get out of hand. I don't live on an estate in England with an in home Library.
Lots of Sun this morning, cloudy and rainy now, might get a bit of snow tonight in the area.

Good Books ,I think.
My friend Paula said she was getting bored with the last picture and it was time to post another picture. She is a real- WELL YOU KNOW. HA. Hi Paula.
Anyway, got these from Amazon used. I'm reading "Merry Hall" and just love it. The 'TRAMPING OUT THE VINTAGE", is The civil War Diaries and letters of Eugene Kinman. Thought that sounded interesting. Who doesn't like to read other people's diaries?
The Big House sounds good. A century in the life of a summer home. Soooo I have some reading to do.
