My Back Deck

Still have more flowers to add but I'm working on it.Another nice day here, so I will be planting a few more things. The maple trees are loaded with seeds this year so I have to go out and sweep every few minutes. Plus the squirrels seem to be re-modeling a lot this year so there are branches and leaves every place that I guess don't fit into their decor. Been up working for a couple of hours already, its just after nine now. Grandma used to get me up early every morning saying the same thing, lets get the work done so we can be on the porch this afternoon. So the house was in order the laundry on the line and something baked. She was not a list maker, she said by the time I write the list I could have two of the jobs on it done already. Some truth to that. So I'm not a list maker. Except for the coupon part of groceries.Well off to play house some more so I can be on the porch.

I love all your huge trees on your property. I have very few here and they don't shade the house. I love trees but I must admit during that ice storm I was sort of glad I didn't have many as they were falling left and right. I dodged a bullet then!
Love your flowers...they're huge and the bleeding heart is gorgeous.
My Aunt was like your Grandmother I think. She would get up early and do the exact same thing! She'd clean, get clothes hung out, bake something and then walk to the Meat Market and grocery store that she and my Uncle owned and relieve him so he could run over to the cafe and get some coffee or late breakfast. They only lived a block away. I must have been out and about because I don't remember what my Aunt did in the afternoon. Maybe she sat on the porch? LOL!
Maybe that's why I don't get as much done as I'd like to...I'm a list maker...but I don't think I can stop now!

Oh, how I love that tree, beautiful!
Very nice deck with all the pretty flowers, I can see you sitting there sipping tea reading a magazine and just enjoying life.
Hugs,
Debbie

What a shady and welcoming spot for a "porch sit". I'll be right over.

Beautifully done. I have been looking at photos to get ideas to decorate my back deck. Yours looks very welcoming.

I totally agree. I am so glad both of my porches are in order. I do plan to add more potted plants, but can't wait to rest there later in the day.
