I have a lot of favorite things, but tole trays and crock bowls are right up there. This bowl is a great place for all my potholders.
Very windy here today, if it was summer my clothes on the clothsline would be dry in record time. Well off to get my second cup of coffee and play house.

Good morning Nancy Jo. I am on my first cup of coffee and will microwave another half cup soon. Nothing like that first cup in the morning is there? I keep a stack of pretty potholders in a couple of vintage pitcher bowls that sit on my counter. The bowls are Fireking and made in the good old USA. I love them for mixing pancakes, cornbread and other things. It was windy here yesterday but I am hoping we will see sunshine by this afternoon. I have a few errands I need to run. Hope you have a good day!
I've been up (early for me at 6 am) and had my hair cut, bought a few groceries, and stopped at Hobby Lobby to buy quilt batting. It's not even 11 am and I am now ready for my nap. I like your bowls, you should go to http://thehouseonthesideofthehill.blogspot.com/
and link up for Tuesday treasures!
Hi Nancy Jo! Love the bowl and the beautiful tray. I really like how you find interesting and new ways to use all your pretty things! I hope you are having a nice day, the storm finally passed over and we are getting a little sunshine. We needed the rain though. It sure has been an unusually warm winter. Just got done giving Barkley dog a bath. Whew! It is a big job, but he is so good about it and does everything I ask him. He even lays there and falls asleep while I dry him with the blow dryer! Have a lovely afternoon! Delisa :)
Something else we have in common:
My mother and her friends painted these trays when they were "young wives" and I have one of her larger ones.
I meant to ask you about your patchwork and heart potholders you posted yesterday. Did you make them?
Love the bowl and I had a tole tray I painted YEARS ago like 40 and evidently gave it away. DUH! I could have given it to you! I'll keep an eye out for them.
It was warm here today, 60 degrees so I re-potted my house plants outside. I usually do it in the Fall...wasn't it just Fall last week?
Did I tell you I bought a Keurig coffee maker? It's the bee's knees! I love it! I just ordered a bunch of different drinks for it...hot apple cider, cocoa, blueberry coffee and some herbal teas for at night so I can wind down from it all! LOL! There were tornadoes in AR and AL the other night but missed us thank goodness! We're supposed to get rain for the next 2 days so glad I got outside today and it will get colder too. Strange Winter but at least no ice storms but it seems like Spring is coming early or they need to re-figure our calendars! Have fun "playing house"!
