Looking through the drawers in my little kitchen chest. Love all these pretty things, what I need is a bigger kitchen to show them off in. But I have this little antique chest from Richard's family to keep them in, so thats a good thing. Some of these things are from blogging friends, some family and some thrift or garage sales.
Bright and sunny here today, but cold. Going to that tupperware party at my daughters later, like I said I haven't been to one in more then twenty five years. I prefer Glass containers for food, but we will see if I can find something to buy.

You do have lots of pretties! I love the embroidered pieces.. I have found a few of those in thrift stores, too. Good luck at the tupperware party. Someone had a book at work and I couldn't BELIEVE how pricey that stuff is... I prefer the cheap stuff. LOL
Hi Nancy Jo! Lots of pretty things, love the crocheted potholders. I am like you, I use glass containers, pretty much rid my kitchen of the plastic junk. Tupperware is expensive..I did buy a Disney princess glass and two little containers for my granddaughter a couple of years ago. First I asked to be sure they were not made in China (I do not buy anything for food use from China.) They were made in Mexico, better or not, I don't know, but she has seldom used them anyway. She prefers my pretty little vintage glasses. I have lots of vintage in my kitchen along with some Corelle that was made in the good old USA! Let us know what you decide upon at the party. Have a good time!
Oh..I forgot to mention yesterday when I posted. I'm not into Tupperware. Actually I find their seals too hard for my arthritic hands and I use glass or Lock n' Locks BUT Tupperware used to have these nifty little containers that hung from your frig shelf and would hold like a half of an onion or something. I thought they were pretty nifty and they weren't too expensive either compared to their other stuff.
I love your linens and "pretties" and it's nice to be able to "switch out" items to give your house a whole new look without having to buy anything new. Very nice!
Oh also, I ran across another blog and thought of you. I haven't visited it yet just heard about it. It's called The French Needle and she's married to a Frenchman and does needlework and the one picture I saw looked beautiful. I think she buys some of it in France. Have fun at the party!
Nancy, I love all your kitchen pretties, the colors are wonderful. What a wonderful family heirloom to store them all in. Ummm, makes me want to rethink my kitchen vintage towels, napkins and tablecloths. Thank you for a wonderful idea. Hope you had fun at your Tupperware Party, I have not been to one in years either. I still use tupperware from my early years of marriage and we will be married years. Tupperware is great.
Something else we have in common - I photgraph many of my post on the table that holds my favorite clock {much like yours}. . .

Hi Nancy Jo, what wonderful handmade kitchen pretties! How neat that you have a special chest to store and display them in. I love those crochet pot holders. I know what you mean about tupperware. There are somethings that I like and that are very useful, but I prefer glass containers as well and switched over to them about three years ago. Have a wonderful monday afternoon! Delisa :)
