Little Tea Set

I was at the thrift yesterday, I know that is very strange thing for me to be doing. NOT.
Anyway, found this cute tea set. It was in a very dirty old box, never opened. No upc purchase lines on it, so I guess maybe the 1950's . I think the upc markings came out in the 60's.. Ran the set in the dishwasher and here they are. Also saved that little bird on the saucer from harm, he was on the floor at the thrift and the lady just gave him to me. Well it might be a her, hard to tell.
Looks like we might be getting some bad weather in the next few days. Hope I remember how to drive in it, its been like a spring winter here so far. I think the wildlife and the people are very confused.

We are supposed to finally get some snow tonight and tomorrow. That is a neat little tea set, I got a set something like that when I got married. It is a pretty burnt orange color with a design on it. I didn't know it was a tea set, though. But I never really thought about what it was, I just knew it was a set of small cups and saucers.

Your tea set is adorable. Is it doll~sized? My aunt promised me a sweet really tiny tea set when I was little. By the time she passed away years later, it went to another family member because no one remembered (or was in the room) when it was promised to me. I've always been sad about that and lusted for that set every time I saw it from then on.

Hi Nancy Jo, what a beautiful little tea set! I love it. The colors are really unusual, I think you got quite a find there. My mother had a set very similar to yours. I think it really looks 50's. Have a wonderful afternoon ahead! Delisa :)

What a cute set that is. My favorite thing to do on vacation (or any road trip) is to thrift store shop.

Glad you got out to the thrift store! How cute is that? It is cold and we got a little snow here....24 this morning! I can't imagine how cold it must be there unless we're switching weather zones! I've had a fire going since yesterday!

Have only had a dusting of snow here. In fact, J saw the tulips peeking up green through the ground this morning. I hope that doesn't mean we will lose them when we do get snow, as we inevitably will.
I love your little bird and so glad you rescued him/her. I have one similar but a little different in color. Beautiful tea set. What a wonderful find. You have a good eye for things like that. Must be all the practice you have had with thrifting over time. ;)
hugs,
