Happy Sunday
We have some snow and wind here today, lots of wind actually.
Been busy all day, just made a big pot of mashed potatoes and I have a pork roast in the oven, its been a long time since I made a pork roast. This will give me left overs for a few days.
Been into the hospital with Richard's Mom, she is 95 and not doing to well. If she can leave the hospital she will be going to a nursing home. Just a day to day thing, wait and see.
Been going with my youngest daughter as often as I can and helping her with an estate sale she is setting up for an older couple she works for. Listen, if you could see this place, you would be shocked. so much stuff. We go around in circles trying to get a system down. Well little by little we should get it under control. I hope.

It's really windy, cold and snowing here today too. Sending prayers for Richard's mother.
Please tell Richard she is in my prayers. Getting older and/or watching our loved ones age is not for the faint of heart.
After you get done with that estate sale will you gals come over here? I think that's the only way I'm ever going to get a handle on all the stuff here! Never move into a house with your "stuff" that already has "stuff" in it...that's my advice! What's that they say about hindsight? LOL!
It's nice here today but you know me, I miss the snow but it's 60, I'm airing out the house, windows open and heat off for now. the sun is shining and "the girls" are sunbathing outside. That pork roast sounds yummy...wish I'd thought of that. I'm making German meatballs and spaetzle. I haven't made it in eons. Have a cozy day!
Curious where this estate sale will be . . .
Hi Nancy Jo, I'm sorry to hear that Richard's mom had to take another trip to the hospital. Please tell him that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know this is a difficult choice to make. My dear friend Ruby who was like a grandmother to me had to go to a nursing home and she didn't want to at first, but after she was there a couple of weeks, she told me that she felt better and stronger than she had in years, because all the day to day worries had been taken from her mind. She would often forget to take her medicine properly and when she started getting it right, she grew stronger and more lucid. So even though things are day by day, there is a lot of hope that there will be some better days and good moments left to share together. How nice that you can work with your daughter on the estate sale, I can imagine it must be a lot of work, but knowing you and your love of antiques, there must be some neat things to look at. I hope you have a lovely day ahead Nancy Jo, You are such a generous and giving peron. Delisa :)
It has been very windy here, too. WE had a roast and mashed potatoes for dinner yesterday. My husband peeled the potatoes and we had a huge pot, we will probably have potato cakes for supper tonight. I hope your mother in law gets better. My dad is in a nursing home, too.
