Great Grandma 's Scrapbook

I was going through some things and came across Great Grandma's scrapbook. I forgot I had it. It was in my cedar chest. I have two of her Diaries which are fun to read too. Anyway lots of pictures , cards and calling cards, and ads that she saved.
That is her in the picture down on the right. Her name is Emma.

That is so neat that your Great Grandma kept a scrapbook. You are so lucky to have it.

What a treasured keepsake! Are those calling cards on the lower left? I would call you the memory keeper. I have that Mrs. Dunwoody's book and love it. It is a treasure trove for keeping the home, covers just about everything. Hope you have a wonderful day. It is cold here, 13° now at 7:00am and possible freezing rain later this afternoon. I am driving down to visit my hubby this morning and get back home before the weather gets bad.

Thank you for posting that wonderful treasure. How lucky for you to have her diaries as well. You certainly come by the "collecting bug" naturally. Sometimes that skips a generation. Was your mother a collector too?

I can't believe you have your Great Grandmother's scrapbook? I don't even have pictures of my grandparents! Did your family come over on the Mayflower? LOL! I love that you share your family treasures with us. You are so fortunate to have them.

Hi Nancy Jo! What a great scrapbook and what a treasure! It must be so wonderful to have her diary to read. I do not have any diaries but I have stacks of letters that my mother saved. Whenever I read them it is like all the family voices come alive again.

It looks like we are going to get some heavy rain today. I am glad I was able to get all my chores done this week. I am looking forward to having a quiet day indoors, working on my knitting and watching some old Bette Davis movies! :)

Have a lovely day ahead! Delisa :)

We have old advertising cards just like these that were my mothers. I can't begin to tell you how many things I have in my home that are SO similar to yours. Some day I may list them for you.

Catching up on reading your blog and darn it I missed your drawing. Had to comment on this post because my grandma's name was Emma too. She was my favorite grandma and babysat me when I was little so my mom could work. She's been gone many years now and I miss her still. How lovely that you have so many of your grandma's treasures :)
