Cutting Up Cards

A few weeks ago I got a big bag of cards from the thrift, I know where else. Anyway I saved out all the nicest ones and then cut up the rest. I like cutting out paper dolls so this was fun for me. Lots of cute pieces, and since so many cards are made of a heavy stock these can be used for making all kinds of things, punch a hole in the top and add a ribbon for a book mark, to inclose in a letter or card. etc. And of course for decopage. Pretty sure I spelled that wrong. Anyway, if you are in the mood for cutting up things this is a good project.

I can see some really cute cards in that bunch ... especially the little kids in the front of the pack. Paper dolls were my passion as a little girl. I liked making wardrobes for them myself too. Another great find Nancy Jo.

I see some little girls drawn by Eloise Wilkin in your stash. She is my favorite golden book illustrator.

How can I cut up cards...you've got them all! LOL! That a great idea about the ribbon and making a bookmark. Now THAT's a green idea! Those are vintage too...so cute. Yes, I think it's decoupage but I could be wrong but I did go to the State spelling bee back in...oh never mind.
Sorry for the bad humor but I'm watching The Middle and I start picking up THEIR bad humor...Ha! Ha!

Isn't it funny how we love to do certain things like cutting paper? It's relaxing and brings back sweet childhood memories. You have some pretty cards, there!
